AOI testing equipment is an automated testing equipment controlled by a computer that integrates light, electricity, gas and machinery. AOI equipment uses the reflection of light to detect whether PCBA components are mounted correctly, the mounting position, whether electronic components are missing or reversed, etc. It only performs appearance inspection. AOI equipment is divided into AOI offline and online detection, so what is the direct difference between them?
PCBA processing
Online AOI has a high degree of automation. It automatically detects all types of equipment at night along with the assembly line. It generally detects long-term fixed models, eliminating program debugging time and improving equipment utilization and stability. Offline AOI equipment is the best choice for frequent line changes and multiple models, and can flexibly respond to the inspection needs of any process.
In actual production, the choice of online AOI or offline AOI equipment must be weighed according to the actual production situation, and defective products can be efficiently detected and processed to avoid non-repairable PCBAs caused by flowing into post-processing processes, thereby reducing repair costs and production costs.
