What should we pay attention to when designing PCBA?

In the PCBA processing process, to ensure a high product qualification rate, in addition to strictly following the requirements in production management, production equipment, and production technology, the early PCBA design is also a very important link. So what should you pay attention to when designing PCBA?

PCBA design

Component layout: The components are laid out evenly, and heat-sensitive components should be placed away from components that generate large amounts of heat. Take shielding or isolation measures for ground components that may have electromagnetic interference with each other. Wiring specifications: Wiring should be as simple as possible under the conditions of use. Digital circuits and analog circuits are routed separately to avoid mutual interference. When connecting components to ground and power supply, keep the traces as short as possible to reduce internal resistance. Component selection: Try to choose conventional components, and consider many aspects such as component packaging, component reliability, temperature tolerance, and electrical performance. Panel-joining process: Using panels to improve production efficiency and enhance the applicability of the production line.

Reasonable PCBA design can greatly improve production efficiency and reduce the defective rate of output. The pass rate of processed products for one-time inspection can reach more than 99.7%. The company currently has 8 SMT lines and 4 back-end supporting production lines. It can do ICT and FCT testing. It has about 150 employees and the company’s R&D team has about 20 people.
